I applied online and I was contacted by the HR department for an initial phone interview. Everything was going great for about 25 minutes until we reached the salary requirement. I told them I work in a very similar position currently and make mid 70's. I mentioned I was interviewing with their competitors NOT in the most expensive cost of living city (Carmel) in Indiana and the companies are paying high $80's. He mentioned that they were looking to pay between $42-55K. I told them that would be a 40-50% potential pay cut. He mentioned he would still send up my information, but I told him they would have to change their range drastically for me to consider.
The position was seeking someone with these industry leading certifications. All certs seemed to be ripped from a "Top 10 Cybersecurity Certifications" considering most didn't related to each other. Someone with OSCP or any other "preferred" certs below won't take 50% below market.
Certified Access Management Specialist (CAMS)
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner)
CompTIA Security+
Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC, any)
Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
