Most of my interviews took place over the phone. It was backwards from other processes I've experienced where I would talk with Talent Acquisition first, then maybe the hiring manager and any other leadership as conversations would progress.
With Alight, I spoke to the hiring manager first, which I really enjoyed. After that, TA followed up to ensure we were on the same page with salary and expectations. Then, I spoke to someone who also reports into the hiring manager and was able to get more information about the team dynamic. Within a week, I met with the hiring manager in person to see the facility briefly and go through a scenario assessment. Finally, I spoke to a VP level executive over the phone.
All interviews with the exception of my 2nd interaction with the hiring manager were held over the phone.
