In my opinion, you should not waste your time with this company. Not only was there a SIGNIFICANT time expectation throughout the interview process (approximately 8 hours of interviews) but they were unprofessional and asked for custom work examples, initially without offering to compensate me for my time. Had they not handled my recruitment process unprofessionallly from top to bottom, and pulled my offer without explanation, this wouldn't have been as big of an issue (although this is still unacceptable). To begin with, there was a massive amount of miscommunication with the work assignment/example that led to me spending a needless amount of time preparing an unnecessary work example (they ultimately compensated me for my time, but that's still time I will never get back). Then, after an arduous interview process, they ended up rescinding my offer without explanation and even refused to provide any feedback. There were numerous issues with the employment offer, including: a request for an unreasonable amount of notice to resign, what amounts to a gag order to protect their (in my opinion) already not so stellar reputation, a blank cheque for your time after ceasing employment (while signing away your ability to collect any compensation) as it relates to collecting, organizing and protecting their IP, among other issues. Furthermore, through my interactions with other former employees I reached out to during the interview process, I learned that the CEO is "frank" with his feedback, to the point that he'll openly denigrates his own employees and uses unacceptable and inappropriate language (in my opinion, I'msurprised there hasnt been any lawsuits).
