I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Aledade (Bethesda, MD) in Apr 2019
Interview
A recruiter contacted me initially for a screening about 1 month after I applied on the website. First call was with the recruiting manager and then had 3 phone interviews. Received notification about 2nd round interviews at HQ in Bethesda and traveled up for another 6 interviews, followed up by 2 additional phone interviews (one with a peer, one with a direct report). It was a thorough but fairly organized process and took about 1 month once the initial interview took place. Offer came few days after last interview. Interview difficulty really varied based upon who the interviewer were. Some probed harder and asked more detailed questions about past experience and problem solving techniques, others were more interested in cultural fit and soft skills. There is ample opportunity to show your preparation through the questions you ask the interviewer.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
How does your previous experience align with the requirements for this role?
Cultural fit is very important and why the interview process pulls in many different leaders from all areas of the organization. Describe how you work in teams and what your leadership style is.
I went through 4 rounds of interviews that all went extremely well. I received positive feedback and communication along the way. Suddenly, I was ghosted and finally I had to reach back out to the recruiter to be told they were going in another direction.

Question 1
The interviews were mostly conversational. One leader who interviewed me was even in the car when we spoke.

Interview
I did enjoy connecting with the recruiter and multiple leaders. I went through four separate interviews with very positive feedback throughout the process, only to be ghosted for a time and then eventually receive a “thanks, but no thanks” without any other feedback or helpful critiques provided as to why they decided to go in a different direction.

Question 1
The interviews were more conversational than traditional Q&A.
I have interviewed for a lot of Executive Director jobs and while Aledade's work with clinicians is known to be high quality and admirable, their interview process is PAINFULLY drawn out relative to pay/level of job. It was a draining 7 rounds or about 6 hours of (work hour) time over many weeks to get to no thanks.
