A recruiter called me about an opportunity and set me up an interview with their client. After I completed the interview, the recruiter called me and told me that the company wanted to hire me. I was ecstatic. She later stated that I would only need to go to the company to meet them in person. She stated my contact was working on changing my job offer from contract only to contract to perm because he like me so much. I went to meet my new team and quickly found out it was actually a full blown interview that I walked into. After interviewing with 3 other people and having my future boss sit in on each interview, I was exhausted and frustrated, but happy I was going to get an offer and start my new position. Two weeks later I never heard from Alchemy or the client. In essence, the recruiter was not being honest when she stated that the company wanted to give me an offer and all I needed to do was meet the team. She also ghosted me after the interview after I made several attempts to speak to her by phone, text and email. I would stay far away from this company. There are several expenses involved with preparing and driving to an interview along with the emotional expense involved with being lied to about having a job offer when there was no offer.
