Other companies recruiting software engineers should take a lesson from Airtime. This is how recruiting should be done: enthusiastically, timely, thoroughly but respectfully. Driven by human beings, not by AI.
Process involved a realistic programming task in a pair-programming environment, meeting several product and software engineers for technical vetting in person and via video. Follow-up was quick, employees were capable, nice, respectful, and fun. No leetcode-style puzzle questions, ghosting or delays.
If working for Airtime is as well-run as their recruiting process, then it is a fantastic company to work for.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Implement a nested table-view UI to display given data.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Airtime (Barcelona) in May 2019
Interview
One casual interview, non coding related that I remember. This is also the occasion for asking questions about the company. It's a startup so social is really important.
Two pair programing interviews
One final interview about not exactly tech (I think in other situations is called "Bar Riser"). Also personality check to be sure you match the culture. I really like how this went.

Question 1
One general UI coding project.
One non-UI project.
Overall to know if you got the iOS skills needed to perform the role
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Airtime (Palo Alto, CA) in Apr 2017
Interview
Did take a take-home problem after speaking with the talent acquisition person. Had a good conversation and did the take-home problem which was quite tricky but I got it done. They were happy with that and did a technical phone screen. This involved going over what I wrote. This also went well. Then I talked with an engineer about UI again this went well. Next, I went in for an in-person interview where I met a senior manager, the hiring manager as well as one other engineer. We talked about high-level designs, apparently this is where things went less well because it is the only thing I can think of unless there was some behavioral questions that I did not do well on.
