Aha! Entry-Level Software Engineer interview questions

Originally this was supposed to ne a 45 minute meeting, but I had to reschedule and it became a 60 minute meeting. I was expecting just to talk about my background and experience, but it turned into a bit of a technical interview as well. This was supposed to be for an entry-level position, so they must have very high expectations for new engineers. I was told I did not have the experience they were looking for based on the 2 questions below.
