I applied online. I interviewed at Adyen (Amsterdam) in May 2017
Interview
The whole interview process was about two weeks.
First I sent my application via their website. Then I got a call from a sales manager who seemed to be too senior to do the first interview. That interview went well but was also quite unprofessional. Basically, he explained everything about Adyen and talked about life, then I asked some questions and we didn't speak about me.
A second interview followed which was more aimed at who I was. It didn't contain any difficult questions, just probing for my motivation. In the end I wasn't sales-oriented enough unfortunately.
It went really fast with the head of BD, 5 mins, maybe cuz I was not the candidate he liked so went briefly and had just ended the interview, one hand I’ve knew I’m not what he’s looking for joining his team but at the other hand I find it quite rude to just end the interview within 5 minutes.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Adyen in Oct 2022
Interview
Had a first phone screening with one of the Human Resources representatives after being contacted by email for the position. Very friendly, warm and enthusiastic about the company. The interviewer was kind, asked a number of questions related to my academic and professional backgrounds and also asked why I would be a good fit for the position and the company.
