I applied for a Performance Marketer position that required only 6-12 months of experience but demanded vast knowledge in multiple platforms like Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, GTM, Power BI, Tableau, GA4, and "others." The required years of experience didn’t seem to match the fact that the role encompassed multiple responsibilities. Throughout the process, they never specified a potential salary, only mentioning that my initial expected salary was high for them.
After a long and difficult second interview, which heavily emphasized my ability to handle stress in a work environment, I heard nothing from them for 15 days. Suddenly, I received an email at 2 AM on a weekday asking me to complete a business case (essentially free work) within 2 days. These were red flags to me and demotivated me, as it seemed they were so overwhelmed that they could only respond to candidates at 2 AM.
In the final interview, the CEO was eating during the call and was a bit rude when providing overall feedback, literally saying, "I’m German, so deal with it." I consider this a bit unprofessional and the overall experience negative.
