It was relatively straightforward. I took a writing test and passed. It consisted of two word knowledge tests and one short article. The time limit to finish the article was 20 minutes. The interview itself seemed more like just a way to get to know everyone.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Actual SEO Media (Houston, TX) in Jan 2020
Interview
Within six minutes of applying I get a phone call. The person asks if I like writing and I replied yes, I studied in school marketing because I had interest in writing and communications. Then asks me how's my writing? I replied I have strong writing abilities commended by my marketing professors when it came to writing reports and essays. He then says we're looking for writing experience. If you look at the indeed requirements, they didn't specifically said that; they just required 45 wpm, laptop, workable distance, etc. I just said okay that's fine thanks for considering.
This tells me these people do not even open a resume because my resume clearly indicates I have no prior experience. So just be warned about this place.
