      Marketing Associate Interview

      Apr 26, 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Houston, TX
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Ace Visions (Houston, TX) in Jan 2023

      Interview

Asked candidates to do market research on some of their clients, and then never went over it in the interview. Lied and greatly exaggerated job title on Indeed. I believe they either have a virtual office or are part of a co-op for the interview space. It was shared with multiple brands. When I got there, the initial interview was in a back office. The second was at a Starbucks across the street. Only during the second interview did they introduce a "promotion table" in front of me. It's a Multi-Level-Marketing scheme. They push "quick promotions" and "the ability to make upwards of $200,000 a year.". Don't waste your time. You deserve, and can get, better.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

General: Favorite movie, hobbies, three strengths and three weaknesses, what motivates you? Specific: Do you know the difference between active and passive marketing? (This was the only real marketing question. I believe it was to make them seem legit.)
