I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at ASML
Interview
The Interview was straightforward. They will ask you what you know about ASML and why you want to work there. Then move into technical questions about Kinematics, Vibrations and maybe Design. Honestly, the interviewer seamed board the whole time and ended the call without asking me if I had any questions about the position or company. My advice is to try to go through a recruiter, that way you can find out the next day if they don't think you're a good fit.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. You have two-cylinder made from the same material. They are made to have the same diameter and length. The only difference is that one is solid and the other one is hollow. Which one has higher stiffness when bending?
2. Again you have two-cylinder but now these two-cylinder rods have the same mass and length, which one has higher stiffness?
3. Taking the two-cylinders with the same mass, which one has higher resonance frequency when you impact the end of the rod?
This review is regarding the ASML interview I attended in Wilton, Connecticut. This was the worst interview experience I have ever had in my life.
I had to wait one hour outside the reception hall before anyone called me. Then someone finally came and called me in, but they didn’t even know which position I was being interviewed for. I had traveled all the way from the Midwest to Connecticut for this interview.
They had no idea what position I had been invited for in an in-person interview. They didn’t know what to do next. I ended up speaking with some random people, and the whole process felt completely disorganized.
At one point they even took me to the clean room and said this is the kind of work you would be doing, but there was no structured interview or proper discussion.
After that, there was no communication for several weeks, and then one day I simply received a message saying they were not moving forward with the process.
Overall, the experience felt very disrespectful. It showed a complete lack of preparation and professionalism. It seemed like they did not know what they were doing, and the entire process came across as extremely impolite and unprofessional.
De sollicitatieprocedure begon met een online sollicitatieformulier, gevolgd door een telefonische screening. Daarna volgde een sollicitatiegesprek op locatie. Tot slot kreeg ik na enkele dagen bericht over de uitkomst van de procedure.

Question 1
Waarom wil je specifiek bij ASML werken en hoe sluit jouw achtergrond aan bij onze technologie en werkwijze?
Phone screen at first, then one teams interview and one on-site interview. I had an overall positive experience for both of these interviews, the people who interviewed me were professional and asked mostly about the thought process of my past projects.
