I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at ALDI (Indianapolis, IN) in Mar 2010
Interview
Had first interview on campus (30 minutes) with a current District Manager. Was invited to Indianapolis for second interview. Was given a tour of the office, warehouse and nearby Aldi store.
After the tour, there was a round of 6+ interviews with various directors and the vice president. Work culture seemed friendly, but I know District Managers work an absurd amount of hours. The company cars were very nice, though.
Mostly easy interview questions. 3 of the people I spoke with said they would "avoid the common questions," and proceeded to ask "common questions" anyways. The only weird one I got was: "What is the worst thing you've done you were never caught for." It's completely a trap...either seem like you're lying, or incriminate yourself.
Be sure you understand the DM job (I learned a lot on this website), and then curtail your experience towards how you're hard working, detail-oriented, organized, etc.

I applied online. I interviewed at ALDI (Indianapolis, IN) in Feb 2026

First round was a video recording having to answer six behavioral questions. You are given about two minutes to answer each question and 30 seconds to prepare for each question.
Resume screen then HireVue, very basic and simple questions. One attempt but you get 30 seconds to prepare. There's also some videos to watch of the hiring manager describing the process.
I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ALDI in Feb 2025
Interview
4 rounds, not very technical, after the first round, it's just talking to highups to see if you fit the culture. You get the name of the interviewer ahead of time.
