I was told to take an online test like most trading firms. Then after passing that, I had a call where we discussed some math stuff. They asked about vector spaces and eigenvectors and what not. Then they asked some math questions that I absolutely should've been able to do but wasn't able to because I had not prepared, so hopefully you all will be.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Derivative of x^x (this one was quite easy obviously)
2. Find eigenvectors and eigenvalues of a nxn matrix with n on the diagonal and ones in every other entry. I was a headless duck on this one.
Warning: Some of the interviewers ask for proprietary info about how you trade or construct signals, either by asking detailed follow-up questions far beyond common knowledge, or by asking you to find patterns in market data that would inform a trading strategy.
This is quite different from assessing your skills as they're seeking new ideas which can be monetized. So if you're an experienced candidate, don't bother applying to Akuna unless you want to give away knowledge and waste lots of time with no real prospect of a job offer.
If you must interview with them, don't disclose proprietary info, but instead describe signals or methods that are commonly known or don't work well.
received a test link having 3 easy python programming problems. fairly straightforward, qualified to the next round. the next one was 7 probability questions you get 5 minutes per question to explain your solution and tell the answer. the questions were standard, it was a vidcruiter round. i messed up slightly on the first question, and might not proceed to the next round.

cannot disclose questions. very standard questions, couple of them on markov chains
2 online tests, one on coding and another one on maths. Coding is leetcode style, not oop. Maths on diverse set of topics (linear algebra, multivariable calculus). Need to talk about your thoughts while doing the maths test
