Applied online, received a HackerRank OA. 11 question OA, 10 MCs based on a whole slew of CS topics (multithreading, race conditions, mutexes, data structures, Big O, a code trace, sorting, SOLID principles, bitwise manipulation, and worst of all, programming language theory). Don't know why programming language theory is needed for a junior role.
Then a Python question asking me to create a input/output system based on their order calls.
I don't think they understand that the people who're applying are fresh/soon-to-be grads.

Interview
All the interviewers I talked to were disinterested to a point where they were downright rude. With trading being a competitive industry, if they can't even find interviewers with a hint of enthusiasm for their company I'm not sure how they can convince anyone to join them.
OAs are tough, but if you can get most of the tests to pass you'll get a phone screen I think. It might take a long time to schedule, but phone screens have coding (not LC) or just CS fundamentals trivia depending on the team.
