Interview
Pitch a few ideas in the application process, then move on to a larger editorial assessment and a one way interview. Then a phone interview with the editorial manager and expansion manager.

Question 1
In your city what is your favorite restaurant?
What is on your bucket list?
If you had 3 people on speed dial who would they be? Would you consider yourself more of a journalist or marketer?
Pre-interviewing with people, you do a virtual video introduction where you answer multiple questions (one take for each question, takes about an hour), then that can be followed by more interviews and writing assessment.

What is something important that is going on in your city right now?

Interview
Warning: Read the reviews & take them into consideration Long and strenuous interview process with no real feedback. You have your typical interviews but then they’ll ask you for some writing samples. (Don’t be surprised if they take your ideas.) There is a strong focus on if you’re a marketer or a journalist. (They want you to be both, but more so a marketer) Not a lot of communication and they make candidates wait long periods of time for any answers. They also won’t discuss pay with you until you get an offer, which I find in poor taste. The real problem though wasn’t getting a rejection, (which sucks but it happens) but they wouldn’t provide any real reason/feedback after a month and a half long interview process. It’s sad because I loved this company prior to applying but the interview process left a bad taste in my mouth. I wanted to look past the bad reviews on here but now I understand.
