What is the hiring process like at Sia?

      Worst company ever

      Sr technical consultant
      Current employee
      New York, NY
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      Easy interview process, friendly hr.

      Cons

Low salary, partners play politics all the time, they talk rubbish about their own CEO behind his back. They fire people for weirdest reasons. Heard that they recently fired a guy saying he does not switch on his camera in client calls, that too without any warnings. They don't have much projects. Join this company only if you can talk sweet lies to them all the time.

      Worst Company of My Career

      Pros

Absolutely no pros working here. When a company mistreats its employees so much, there’s absolutely nothing they can offer that would make up for it.

      Cons

They do not know how to lead or inspire employees. I don’t even think they know what they are doing. Employees are extremely dispensable but they don’t understand that hiring new people will not bring them the success they seek, clear objectives and goals for the company may bring that. They can have 10 employees working on the same thing, they waste talent and time.

      A boat without a rudder

      Senior manager
      Former employee
      Dublin, Dublin

      Business outlook

      Pros

There are some nice people and potential for good projects.

      Cons

There is little to no leadership in the UK&I hub. It is all led from Dublin by a couple of partners from the previous iteration of the company. They have no expertise and bring in little to work. They force pressure on people at all levels to be bringing in work while they sit there on their hands. Senior consultants and managers are spoken down to if they don't land big contracts and progression is based on either bringing in hundreds of thousands of work for junior staff or licking the backside of certain partners. There are no proper policies in place, the office is not set up for work, including having no monitors or keyboards to work from. The HR is non-existent, as in a recruiter was made the sole HR person for both countries. The culture is toxic, people constantly fighting over who owns what piece of work. This is encouraged. There is no training budget and graduates are left to fend for themselves with no support. I would be surprised if the London and Dublin offices are still open in a couple of years.

      Huge room for improvement

      Management consulting manager
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

The firm offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients across various industries. This diversity can help build a strong and varied skill set.

      Cons

Despite the demanding nature of work, recognition for a job well done is inconsistent. Consultants often feel their efforts go unnoticed, which can be demotivating. Internal communication is often lacking. Important updates about company direction or changes are poorly communicated, leading to confusion and uncertainty among staff. There is a noticeable gaps between management and on-the-ground employees. Decision-makers seem out of touch with the day-to-day challenges, faced by consultant, which can result in unrealistic expectations. There is a lack of investment in consultants. Employees often feel that the firm is more focused on immediate projects needs rather than long-term carrier development. Salary negotiations can be challenging with the top management and often lack transparency. The process is rigid, with limited room for negotiation and adjustments based on performance and market conditions.

      Good company to work for

      Pros

Friendly and supportive team, great office

      Cons

Personally, I had very little onboarding and was left to figure things out myself

Meaningful work, but chaotic onboarding and no team support

      Project consultant
      Former temporary employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Meaningful assignments with major tech companies

      Cons

Egregiously unorganized onboarding and administration processes and technology. Absolutely no sense of a "team" work environment. You are 100% on your own. You are not considered a human, simply an asset to sell into a contract role. If you perform well in those conditions, you can earn a fair market pay for legitimately large scale projects.
