      Cons

There have been instances of harassment from management and clear favoritism displayed by a male manager toward a younger female staff member. It is concerning that such behavior persists in today's workplace, and even more troubling that, despite being reported, no action has been taken to address the issue. This highlights significant flaws within the company's management structure. I hope the company begins to take these matters more seriously, as the lack of training and unethical behavior from certain managers damages the company's reputation and creates a toxic work environment. When management lacks both the understanding of the job and the ability to provide support or training, it seems that the only way to advance is to be a young woman and face exploitation.

      Pros

Remuneration is competitive. Standards are high, but colleagues appear to have a good work life balance and have good support from line managers. There is plenty of focus on career development for employees who seek progression. Senior management team is strong - they are accountable and deliver on promises. The working environment is very positive and inclusive - all employees are encouraged to make a constructive contribution. The company actively seeks to contribute to the community through initiatives such as volunteering, charity fund raising and food bank donations.

      Cons

Some of the IT systems are dated, but there is an ambitious modernisation program underway and communication with employees with regarding progress is regular.

It's a place full of passionate people who want to do better for customers and colleagues. Strong push toward modernisation and transformation with ongoing projects The collaboration between departments and IT is steadily improving, creating an environment where change is not only possible but encouraged with the appointment of new CIO.

      Cons

Company has faced some technology-related hurdles—such as legacy systems and wi-fi issues - however this is part of ongoing improvement work. Pockets of areas where decisions are slow to be made Flexible working opportunities are not forthcoming

Thank you for your thoughtful feedback and for taking the time to leave us a review! We’re really pleased to hear that you’re experiencing the passion and collaboration across the business, especially as we continue to drive forward with our transformation agenda. We also appreciate your candour around areas for improvement. We know that some of our legacy systems and connectivity issues have been frustrating at times, but as you mentioned, these are being actively addressed through ongoing investment and transformation work. Your point about decision-making speed and flexible working is also noted — we recognise how important it is for managers to have the autonomy to support their teams in ways that work best for them. Pros

      - Having been at the Bank from the old days of toxic atmospheres and progression limited to if you face fits! I can genuinely say to see where it is now I feel proud to say I work for OSB! Salary is competitive, progression is based on both experience and behaviours! The bigger benefits such as mat leave, compassionate leave, and hybrid working are great but even the smaller benefits such as ice cream in the summer (and the CEO even serves on the van to make it more personal) , vouchers to say thank you for your hard work make staff feel appreciated. They are also extremely flexible if something happens at home and you need to work from home for a few days! I have seen a number of CEOs over the years but Andy is definitely the best we have had! He is on our level and spends time with his staff and takes an interest in them unlike previous CEOs who never left their ivory towers!! I can’t speak for other teams, but, although our team is huge, everyone works hard together well, when busy we all pull together and live the #oneteam ethos but also socialise as a team like the whole team bowling!Show me a company that has grown as much as we have and still maintained the family atmosphere! We’ve had a number of staff that have previously left the business for other roles elsewhere but we have had a number of them come back because other companies fall short! With the changes that are happening it can only get better! - They also give back to the community by giving every member of staff 14 hours to carry out volunteer work in either the company’s charity or other charities of your choice. - they are very disability aware, there are disabled parking spaces, lifts, toilets and emergency evac chairs for emergencies, specialist equipment such as rising desks/chair and mental health first aiders throughout the company.

      Cons

Definitely the Systems, however, again being there as long as I have, I have seen the progression from the truly archaic to what it is now and the difference is extensive! Although there is still a lot of room for improvement, the company is investing heavily on improving this further!
