Pros
The best in business. None like Netflix when it comes to media and entertainment. Hyper consumer focused company and that muscle alone is what will keep Netflix ahead in the game.
Cons
More talking, less action. Most time is spent in meetings that go from morning till night but deliver nothing. Going through restructuring which makes no sense and leaders are just wasting company time and money (and ICs life) without having any goals or accountability. Leaders are clueless and passing the blame to each other while ICs are overburdened and lost. Leaders don't have real corporate experience outside of Netflix and that is showing now that the company is trying to scale but doesn't know how to. The culture that once made Netflix great cannot sustain at this scale and because that culture never prepared future leaders, we are seeing a particularly bad crop now. This used to be a great company. The greatness has certainly diluted since Reed exited as CEO. It's a great business though and bound to keep growing. Unfortunately that's why people are more worried about keeping their jobs than about doing their work well. Until senior leadership learns how to run a business it may continue to get worse. Hope that the leadership spots the problems soon because this company deserves better.
