I came on a year before it started getting ugly

      Sales development representative (sdr)
      Current employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Very accommodating with personal time, work life balance, and work events. Big emphasis on the maintenance of company culture and morale (sorta). Unlimited PTO is real and great. They do tuition reimbursement which is very nice. Snacks in the breakroom are bumpin'

      Cons

The training was lackluster and the difference between the training phase and actually working on the floor was pretty stark. Commission is lackluster and not industry standard No emphasis on further development of the individual employee for the role they are in. Below industry standard pay that was consistently swept under the rug when brought up to both CEOs (you read that right, more on that later) in AMA question sessions. Change to return to office policies that didn't need to be made for any other reason than the equity of the building. Long story short; the original big boss took out a "loan" of sorts that isn't being repaid in a timely enough fashion, ultimately leading to his ousting from his own company to bring in a boss more seasoned to eliminate said deficit at the expense of morale, company vision, and any independent financial gain for those in his employ. Made to feel like a robot with a broken go to market strategy that stretches the borders of credulity to the point of snapping. Mass exodus's ensue with no recourse. Slash and burn, belt tightening, eerily pump-and-dump-feeling tactics that just don't foster cheery sentiments to those driving there everyday.

They go out of our way to make work more difficult...

      Partner success manager
      Current employee

      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

It's an ever changing company (pro & con), so there's always something new to talk about with clients. Coworkers have "young" energy and are always down to earth. Flexible schedule no micromanagement (at least not on the teams I've been in)

      Cons

base pay AND commission pay is too low. always a bunch of new policies, technology, and features being released but no incentive to really engage and learn with it. because we get paid too low, we don't care about these new things, nor are we excited about them. THE PAY IS TOO LOW- I can't stress that enough. Not the commission or "compenstion plan". not the "bonuses". THE BASE PAY. Due to new policies, the opportunity for CSMs/PSMs to make commission and to upsell is almost non-existent. We can only rely on base pay and it's so low right now, we can't pay our bills. There's also new policies for any type of adjustment you would like to get an opportunity to close won. For any type of discount, you must seek approvals now. this wastes a lot of unnecessary time. My team (partner success MSP Per Client team) gets not attention, recognition, and the company hardly knows we exist. IF YOU ARE NOT PART OF NEW SALES TEAM, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU.

Hello Knowster. We have indeed significantly changed our go-to-market strategy in the past several months and there are additional business optimizations toward which we are working. We have talked about the J curve a lot with all the changes, and we are still working through the down part of that curve. Given the newness of everything, we ask that you be very open about sharing problems and successes with your management team. Our focus always has and always will be creating the best experience for our customers as well as our Knowsters - that has not changed. We have implemented recognizing each department’s wins multiple times a week during our company-wide Daily Briefings. We also spent countless hours doing market research to create the best compensation plans for each position, as they hold different responsibilities from other positions with similar titles in the industry. Our OTEs fall well within industry averages for the Clearwater Florida area. If you look at the Glassdoor salary tab you will see our median pay is well within industry standards of compensation for the Tampa area. $95k for CSMs If you need more clarity on the compensation plans, please reach out to the People Operations team.

      Pros

Unlimited PTO, flexible schedule, great co workers.

      Cons

They claim radical transparency and assured us of no layoffs and that comp plans would be for the better. However, they've now layed off tons of employees with no rhyme or reason as to why they chose who they did to stay or go. Severance was a joke. They cut base salary and commission for the ones who made it, when it was already low for the work load. Stu preaches not treating us like mushrooms(keeping us in the dark and feeding us sh*t) but here we are. He brags about his delimma with someome wanting to trade mansions and procedes to show the whole company pictures of the multi million dallar home. Meanwhile the bonus "game" has gone to crap and we barely hit any more. No room for growth and they are now making anyone within 25 miles of Clearwater RTO 3 days a week, even if hired as remote.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. The internal reorganization is part of our new go-to-market strategy. We understand the disappointment regarding recent changes, and we apologize for any confusion as these changes take place. We are doing our best to provide healthy severance packages for the roles that were no longer needed in the same numbers as part of the restructuring. We have also offered other job openings to qualified Knowsters as an option. Our bonus program earned each Knowster $7,500+ in 2023 and maintains a trajectory similar to previous years. Our Hybrid Return to Office (RTO) policy fosters career growth and enhances collaborative efforts by providing a conducive in-person work environment. We understand that some employees may have special circumstances preventing them from adopting a hybrid work setting, and we are committed to accommodating their needs individually to ensure an inclusive and supportive workplace.

Monthly bonus that scales with companies sales records. Incredible coworkers Fantastic support teams Flexible Schedules Unlimited PTO

      Cons

Since acquired, the culture has been declining due to the removal of certain aspects which made the company great to begin with. Changed the bonus structure which drastically reduced the amount of bonus received each month. Initial training doesn't quite cover the job description, you learn a ton through hands on experience.
