Family friendly and great team (mostly!)

      Technical support engineer iii
      Current employee
      Christchurch, England
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      - Flexible working as long as your job is done (well) - no questions asked - Most of the team are great and super helpful - Great career progression - Good pension - Private health insurance

      Cons

      - Salary is not awful but could be better to align with other big employers but due to multiple re-orgs, reviews have been a bit hit and miss - Most locations around the world have now had their offices shut completely, so working from home it is - Some team members do not pull their weight but are somehow not let go for doing a continuously bad job

Bad place to work doesn’t quite cut it

      Anonymous employee
      Former employee

      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Pay arrives on time, some truly excellent people within the organisation Remote working is a plus.

      Cons

While there are some truly excellent people at an operational there are too many who I can only describe as professional gas lighters at a management level. The morale is terrible. Majority of staff at an operational level are not happy, they do not feel valued and are just waiting for to find another job, there is no career here or opportunity for development. Middle management have no idea what occurs operationally so there’s a real disconnect. They do not listen to feedback either.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about your experience at Everbridge. We take all feedback seriously and are committed to fostering a positive work environment and want to take the opportunity to address your feedback on career opportunities and development. Learning is one of our core values at Everbridge and we are committed to investing in and providing opportunities for all employees to advance in their careers, both at Everbridge and beyond. To that end, we rolled out LinkedIn Learning in 2023 to ensure all employees have access to training courses that support individual development and skill-building. Additionally, we’ve trained hundreds of employees through our proprietary manager development program and will soon be offering the program on-demand to all employees who are interested in pursuing managerial positions. In 2024, we launched a new monthly program that focuses on in-person teambuilding and learning events, with content and topics decided by our employees, including Artificial Intelligence and Storytelling through Data. To better understand and address your concerns, we would appreciate the opportunity for a more in-depth conversation. If you feel comfortable, please reach out to the People & Culture Team to discuss your experiences further. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive workplace for all our employees, and your insights are invaluable in helping us achieve that goal.

Great company, but the shifts may not be for everyone

      Intelligence analyst
      Former employee
      Budapest
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      - Friendly environment (albeit largely remote due to the nature of the 24/7 threat intelligence work in shifts). - Managers cared about you and proactively encouraged your growth in terms of skills and career advancement. - Good to connect and work with people from multiple time zones. - The 12h shift cycles meant we did not follow regular work schedules, so sometimes we had stings of 2-3 or even 4 free days during the "working" week (Monday to Friday). - Shifts were 12h long, but you were never required to work more than that. On the contrary, at the end of your shift you were actively encouraged to switch off and enjoy your free time.

      Cons

      - Salary was OK for Hungarian standards but could have been better, especially if compared to other countries. - The workflow was largely standardized and could be monotonous (but it could also quickly become very intense), basically you monitored a given source and you decided whether or not to report an event based on the given guidelines, so there was not much personal room for personal approaches to what/how to monitor and report. - Shifts were 12h long (7am to 7pm), even though it was less intense/tiring than it may seem. We only had day shifts, but apparently this changed after I left and night shifts were introduced. - On the flip side, the shifts cycles also meant that sometimes we had to work during the entire weekend too, including in some cases Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Monday included.

      Pros

Remote first work environment, management in the Tech Support department was good.

      Cons

They are shifting to hiring internationally for cost reasons, and this limits growth opportunity unless you live in the specific areas they are targeting for hire.

Good place to work and grow

      Strategic account executive
      Current employee
      Raleigh, NC
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Everbridge has a great mission, very good solutions and a leadership team committed to customers and financial results.

      Cons

Historically, we have had quite a bit of executive turnover for various reasons. Each leader did the best they knew how however our business is complex and takes 15 months to fully understand what course of action we should take. This turnover has slowed our progress to where we could have been with stability in Leadership.
