Pros
- Hybrid / very flexible - as long as work gets done you can WFH a lot if that’s your preference
- benefits are amazing, paid gym, loan assistance, insurance, 401K match, unlimited PTO (really 5 weeks for a senior level),
- caring employees / managers / great work environment
- diversity
- constantly learning
- paid CPE with Becker and internal firm training is excellent
- buddy / mentor system that really works
- constant surveys to get employees feedback
- robust support, great management and HR team
Cons
- big firm, can be hard to get to know everyone
- long hours and bonus is based on utilization and billable. When I left the firm was lowering the expectation for everyone firm wide
- can be big learning curve if you come from smaller firm
- difficult clients, great chance to learn and grow skills if you like a challenge
- high stress
- senior is tough, staff aren’t assigned to you by job only by week so you can be left high and dry if your client is late
- firm is utilizing more overseas which can be hard with time difference when you’re managing them and reviewing their work
- a lot of travel the lower you are in the firm, they can be flexible with you but highly encouraged to visit clients your assigned
- heavy travel like any firm for inventory observations Oct - Jan
