      Pros

100% remote work with flexible hours Easy onboarding process and simple tools No pressure from managers, independent work style

      Cons

Payment rates are low compared to effort required Work availability is inconsistent, projects can suddenly stop Limited career growth or learning opportunities Communication with support can be slow No job security since it’s freelance and contract-based

      Awful onboarding process

      Business outlook

      Pros

None - the whole process was terrible. I am an experienced transcriber but was treated with little respect.

      Cons

Awful attitude to freelancers and expectations unrealistic. Expected to follow a house style that is not only very badly written but which is unclear and contradicts itself, then criticised when result isn’t 100% perfect.

      Bad company

      Pros

Flexible Work, but Low Pay and Inconsistent Projects

      Llm trainer
      Former contractor
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Flexible Work Schedule – You can work from anywhere and set your own hours. Easy Application Process – No complex interviews; most roles require simple qualifications. Opportunities to Learn – Gain experience in AI data training, search evaluation, and more.

      Cons

Low Pay – Compensation is often below industry standards for the work required. Inconsistent Work Availability – Projects can be sporadic, leading to unstable income. Unclear Communication – Support and response times from project managers can be slow or unhelpful. Strict Quality Standards – Some projects have vague guidelines but expect high accuracy. Limited Career Growth – Few opportunities for advancement or long-term stability. Task Rejections Without Explanation – Work can be rejected without clear feedback, affecting earnings. No Benefits – No health insurance, paid time off, or other traditional job perks.

      Pros

My manager was fine. Fellow employees clicq-y and insular but all of us were all laid off so look it doesn’t matter now.

      Cons

Ooof. Was fine for a bit but as I said everyone was laid off and they did it in a horrible way - like that viral video where that woman is talking to HR on the screen and it’s impersonal and gross and they tried to tell her she was being let go for performance reasons when that was verifiably false. I was laid off with no severance because they wanted to pick my last day (after Thanksgiving and then they’d give me four weeks’ severance which paid me out til Christmas - the hiring doldrums) and I wanted to be laid off when I had a fighting chance of finding a job quickly. End result: I left in September but with zero severance even though they were 100% eliminating my position. Horrible, soulless company.

Unethical senior management with no interest in the wellbeing of their people or business

      Anonymous employee
      Former employee
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Mostly remote Salary is paid on time

      Cons

Frequent layoffs which are mostly on whims of senior leaders and not strategic at all. Racism is prominent from most US senior leaders, they try to hide it but fail. Extreme favoritism, people are allowed to hire friends without proper interview or hiring processes. During layoffs people save their friends rather than high performing individuals. They fired many women and employees in SE Asia to build a team in the US, RIP diversity and inclusion. Team in India is underpaid. No pay parity, after layoffs we learned that there was significant difference in pay brackets for a lot of employees.
