The couple that founded commonsku had a momentous year in that Frontier Growth, a private equity firm based in Charlotte, NC, invested in the Toronto-headquartered promo software and events company. Financial details of the investment weren’t released, but Catherine and Mark Graham are the majority shareholders and retain majority control. And while the tech platform the Grahams created is what put commonsku on the map in the promo landscape, the company has become equally known for its wildly popular, successful and often sold-out events – skucon, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2024 and is held in Las Vegas every January in the beginning of the PPAI Show week, and skucamp, held in late summer at different locales – as well as its robust content creation, led by Chief Content Officer Bobby Lehew.
