We’re proud to give back to our community! Our team volunteered at Ronald McDonald House, cooking meals for 150 families whose children are receiving medical treatment at Seattle Children’s Hospital. A big thank you to Hunter Nelson for organizing this amazing event. 🏥❤️ #Volunteer #Community #RonaldMcDonaldHouse #WaFd
With eight years of volunteering in the books, Gena Edgar, Mortgage Banker in Oregon, hosted a table at the CASA of Lane County Oregon “Voices for Kids” fundraising luncheon. CASA is a program Gena is especially passionate about, a cause WaFd Bank is also proud to support. CASA helps provide a stable adult figure and a voice for children in the foster care system, particularly those who have experienced neglect or violence in their family and need a trusted adult to speak up for them in court trials, school, and visits at their foster homes.
Huge shoutout to our amazing volunteers who've been hard at work with Habitat for Humanity 🏘️! From digging fence posts to conquering heights, they're making a real difference in our community. 👏
Our bankers in Sandpoint, Idaho recently had the privilege of volunteering with NAMI Far North, supporting their mission to help individuals and families affected by mental illness. NAMI Far North’s work in Bonner and Boundary Counties is a vital resource, offering advocacy, education, and support to those who need it most. We’re grateful for the opportunity to stand alongside them in their efforts to improve lives in our community. hashtag#mentalhealthmatters hashtag#wafdbank hashtag#bankwithheart hashtag#dowhatyoulovemakeadifference
There’s something about getting your hands dirty for a good cause that makes the work so much more rewarding, and our bankers in Washington rolled up their sleeves to join Habitat for Humanity in building affordable housing in Thurston County. We’re proud to be part of something bigger and grateful for the chance to give back. 💚
We’re grateful for the opportunity to roll up our sleeves and volunteer with Food Lifeline. Together, we helped sort and repackage 26k pounds of cabbage and 1.1k pounds of pasta that will go to families across Western Washington. It was a humbling experience to see firsthand the incredible impact Food Lifeline makes, ensuring no one goes hungry. Big thanks to the team and all our volunteers who give their time to make a difference. #communitystrong #givingback #bankwithheart
