Advancing understanding of human health and disease requires asking the most challenging questions. The proven reliability, reproducibility and clarity of #masscytometry simplify complex study design and ease site-to-site coordination challenges. By removing these barriers, the technology expedites timelines and accelerates the pace of scientific discovery and study completion. CyTOF® XT provides easily scalable solutions at a lower cost of ownership, addressing key hurdles to conducting sophisticated #clinicalresearch programs.
In collaboration with Fluidigm, Infinity BiologiX LLC has developed a variety of custom panels, providing new methods to optimize throughput and provide high-quality data to clients. Join us for a new webinar with Jess McDevitt, MS, who will describe how the speed, flexibility and accuracy of microfluidics-based methods enable multiple configurations for a variety of research needs.
Through the recent introduction of seven cadmium isotopes for antibody detection, the Maxpar® reagent family now offers 57 parameters for use in identification and phenotyping of cell subpopulations. Learn about the applicability of our new platinum labeled anti-CD45 antibodies for staining human peripheral blood mononuclear cells in suspension #masscytometry. See their compatibility with existing Maxpar cell staining reagents, including Cell-ID cisplatin reagents and Cell-ID rhodium and iridium intercalators, providing excellent performance, utility and versatility in diverse staining conditions. Poster presentation today at #CYTOVirtual: Increasing the multiplexity of CyTOF analysis with new platinum-labeled anti-CD45 (HI30) antibodies – https://lnkd.in/eC2sT4m
As part of the International Union of Immunological Societies (IUIS) Webinar Series, we are pleased to present Anita McElroy, PhD. She will describe the cellular immune landscape that occurs following Ebola virus infection using mass cytometry and will correlate these findings with key features of Ebola virus disease.
Using #ImagingMassCytometry to measure over 40 protein targets with subcellular resolution, Hartland Jackson’s research program investigates the locations of and relationships between different cell types, their mechanisms of communication and their use as high-dimension topographic #biomarkers of disease in clinical samples. Tomorrow, he will discuss his recent work studying biobank breast cancer tissues from clinical cohorts and new approaches to tumor investigation.
Access to simple, affordable and reliable #COVID19testing is necessary for business continuity. To address this fundamental need, the Fluidigm COVID-19 Community Connect Program provides access to turnkey COVID-19 testing services as well as a direct testing capability if your institution has a lab certified under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). With new variants including B.1.1.7, B.1.351 and P.1 dominating in regions around the globe, continued testing can support surveillance efforts and monitor spread.
Both obstructive sleep apnea and some cases of sudden infant death syndrome are associated with impaired respiration. A recent study from Hannover Medical School tested a possible association between SIDS and 24 gene variants known to be related to obstructive sleep apnea, suggesting that both OSA and SIDS might in part share a common etiology. With support from the Fluidigm D3 assay team, genotyping was performed on an allele specific SNP Type Assay applied on a 192.24 Dynamic Array and run through a Biomark EP1 platform. Results indicate a possible link between SIDS and OSA and its resulting respiratory and cardiovascular problems, though the association might be dependent on a combination with other unknown gene variants.
How do you choose the right barcoding method for your research needs? Take a look… Palladium-based #barcoding is a cell-agnostic approach to sample #multiplexing. The Cell-ID 20-Plex Pd Barcoding Kit is a ready-to-use kit with accompanying software and unique tags to allow maximum antibody panel size. Live-cell barcoding can be performed without a fix/perm step, preserving fix-sensitive #epitopes. Maxpar® anti-CD45 #antibodies can be easily added to existing panels to multiplex 35 or more samples, enabling scaled-up experiments and improved data consistency for larger studies.
The CDC works to identify new and emerging SARS-CoV-2 variant strains to assess potential impacts on COVID-19 diagnostics, treatments and vaccines. While most are not categorized as variants of interest or variants of concern, data on the proportions of the common lineages is important to inform public health decisions.
The Mass Cytometry Summit starts now… We are thrilled to share with you the latest research approaches using #masscytometry, as well as the newest member of the #CyTOF family of instruments. Take a look at today’s agenda, and if you haven’t already, join us!
