November is Pulmonary Hypertension Awareness Month, an annual event to raise awareness of this rare and often misunderstood disease in every community. Walgreens Boots Alliance became a 71 percent owner of Shields by investing nearly a billion dollars to support the continued growth and expansion of our specialty pharmacy platform. It is certainly a testament to our care model, our mission, and the hard work done by every one of you. There were a lot of questions that came in that I hope we answered. The biggest takeaway was and still is that we remain the same. We are still Shields and we will continue to operate as we have been with no changes in your day-to-day functions, your manager or your leadership. "We are the culture." That is what Annie Maloney said in our Town Hall the day after the announcement. It resonated with me then, and it still does today. We are who we are because of all of you, the work that you do and the kindness you show to each other and our patients. As long as we have you, your passion and your involvement... our culture will not change.
