🌎 The #WorldHealthDay24 theme, "My Health, My Right," underscores the importance to guaranteeing access to the best health services, education, and information as an essential right for all. Concepts such as radiomics, machine learning, and #AI are more important than ever to achieving this change. Thanks to them, we can move from subjective interpretation to precise and quantitative analysis and integrate hashtag#data from other techniques. This lets us personalize treatment strategies thanks to a comprehensive view of the pathology. Furthermore, it leads to savings in healthcare resources and maximization of #healthcare professionals' time and workflow. ⚕ The present and future of medicine include two words: precision and personalization. Refining disease management from a sophisticated and multidimensional imaging perspective could be critical for diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis and embodies this year's World Health Day theme. They empower us to make informed decisions about our medical care, advocating for policies and practices that ensure access to superior health services for everyone.
During #ECR24, when asked about the role of #AI-powered tools such as Quibim, Dr. Patricia Andrea Gutierrez, GU #radiology specialist at the hospitals of Dunkerque and Lille (France), had a clear answer: "As an international doctor working in different countries, I think AI homogenizes the reporting and expedites workflow for doctors. If we all speak the same language with the interactive tools for automatic reporting, and if we all use the same tools in the same centers, we will all have the same reporting quality." 🏆 Our CEO & Co-Founder, Dr. Ángel Alberich-Bayarri, has been recognized with the Mutual Engineering Foundation Award for his outstanding contributions to sustainable social development through engineering excellence. Under his guidance, our company has achieved worldwide recognition for developing pioneering #AI techniques for medical image analysis, which has positively impacted patient outcomes. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!
🔒 When it comes to the security of patient #data, it is important to differentiate between the concepts of anonymization and pseudonymization. 👤 What are the differences between these two methods of data processing? The key is to understand the concept of #personaldata and what it refers to. ➡ Pseudonymization: processing data in such a manner that personal data can no longer be attributed to a specific data subject without the use of additional information. This information needs to be kept separately, subject to technical and organizational security measures. Pseudonymized data is classified as personal data and is subject to data protection regulations compliance. ➡ Anonymization: processing of personal data that renders the data anonymous in such a manner that the data subject is not or no longer identifiable. Data protection principles do not apply to anonymous information. At Quibim, we place data protection at the forefront of our operations. We meticulously adhere to data protection and privacy standards, including GDPR and HIPAA, to ensure the utmost security of personal data.

At Quibim, our objective is to profoundly improve patient outcomes by accurately identifying clinically significant #cancer. One of the most prominent characteristics of AI's efficiency lies in its ability to provide actionable information without overloading the healthcare system. By training our #AI models for csPCa detection on pathology data, we achieved a remarkable balance of high sensitivity, low false positive rate (FPR) per case, and high negative predictive value. These sophisticated tools allow radiologists to standardize their reporting criteria, decreasing dependence on individual experience levels. Our latest blog https://bit.ly/3vBn2pS examines the complexities of developing and validating AI algorithms in prostate MRI to detect #ProstateCancer, exploring the challenges and best practices in this evolving journey. As time progresses, these tools will become essential for safe medical practice by default.
🎉 Our profile has reached 10,000 followers! We couldn't be more grateful for the continuous support and engagement of this ever-growing community, which gives meaning to our mission of providing valuable insights and updates on healthcare innovation. As we celebrate this milestone, we remain committed to cultivating meaningful connections, sharing knowledge, and inspiring positive change in the medical field. Thank you for being a part of our journey!
