At PCAS, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment throughout the year. Our Inclusion Calendar highlights key dates and awareness events that reflect our dedication to diversity, equality, health and well-being. Here is an overview of the events we are recognising for 2025:
What a year 2024 was. As we bid farewell to another year, it’s time to reflect on the milestones, memories, and meaningful moments that defined 2024 for PCAS. This past year has been one of growth, resilience, and innovation as we continued to support individuals with learning disabilities and autism across our community. From launching new initiatives like Makaton Mondays to expanding our services and fostering stronger connections with the people we serve, 2024 has been a testament to the power of collaboration and compassion. Join us as we look back at the achievements that made this year so special, celebrate the incredible individuals who inspire us daily, and share a glimpse of what’s on the horizon for 2025. In 2024, the PCAS family grew significantly, welcoming 21 new service users and an incredible 86 new staff members across Kent. Each new addition has brought unique perspectives, skills, and energy to our community, enriching the work we do and the support we provide. To all our new service users and team members, we extend a heartfelt welcome and look forward to our journeys together. This year, our dedicated staff went above and beyond, collectively delivering an astounding 276,919 hours of support. This achievement reflects not only the immense commitment and passion of our team but also the trust placed in us by the individuals and families we serve. To all our support staff, thank you.
Tracy and her support worker had the chance to meet actor and singer Alfie Boe! On Wednesday Tracy went to Tunbridge Wells where she met Alfie before he was performing a show. Tracy said “he was so kind” and that it was “the best night ever”.

🌈 June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate love, identity, and the ongoing fight for equality. It’s an opportunity to honor the courage of those who have championed LGBTQ+ rights and to stand with those still facing discrimination. Pride Month is a powerful reminder that everyone deserves to live authentically and be accepted for who they are. #PCAS #Pride #Equality

June is Men's Health Month, a time dedicated to raising awareness about a broad spectrum of men's health issues, ranging from mental health and suicide to prostate and testicular cancers. Mental health is a critical concern, with men being 3.5 times more likely to die by suicide than women. Additionally, prostate cancer is the second most common cancer among men worldwide, with over 1.4 million new cases diagnosed annually. Testicular cancer, while less common, remains the most frequently diagnosed cancer in young men aged 15 to 35, with approximately 70,000 new cases each year globally. Men's Health Month aims to encourage men to take charge of their health and well-being through regular check-ups, screenings, and a proactive approach to mental and physical health. #MensHealthMonth
