We recently spoke to team members and asked them what they enjoyed about working at PAI Health.
2020 was a year like no other, with social and work connections turning virtual due to the global COVID-19 pandemic. As a company we wanted to prioritize staying connected, even in this more virtual space. These were some of the things we did last year to keep the team going strong: An online escape room that included scavenger hunts and trivia questions; Zoom breakfast check-ins to emulate those “morning coffee” experiences; A virtual drawing class that forced us out of our comfort zones and revealed some hidden artistic talents; When quarantine restrictions were lighter (and the weather much nicer), a picnic and games social in the park; A virtual cello meditation concert; Online cocktail making; As well as many Zoom game sessions!

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) accounts for 31% of deaths globally, making it the number one cause of death. At least 80% of deaths from CVD can be prevented through lifestyle changes, such as diet and physical activity. Our core mission at PAI is to become the new global standard for physical activity, making it more accessible and simple for anyone to improve their health and reduce the risk of dying from CVD. Now more than ever it's important to focus and prioritize our health — we're in this together!
Huge congrats to our General Manager Sally Powell for propelling PAI Health to 3rd place in Quesnay Inc.’s Female Founders in Inurtech 2020 Challenge! This year’s challenge addressed how digital technology continues to transform the global insurance industry, with COVID-19 further accelerating change. Sally demonstrated that by adopting PAI, insurers can reframe their policyholder relationships to become more personalized through science-backed, quantified health outcomes. With PAI’s activity score, insurers can guide people towards better health, reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease mortality and building health resiliency, which is more important now than ever.
