#ICYMI on Monday, March 30, NGA supported the successful launch of three small satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base aboard the SpaceX Transporter-16 rideshare mission, kicking off the final phase of the 7-year, multimillion-dollar MagQuest competition. 🚀 These CubeSats will test new methods for satellite-based data collection to update the World Magnetic Model, which powers everything from military navigation to the maps on your phone. This launch represents a pivotal moment in our quest for a more resilient and cost-effective method of collecting geomagnetic data. We are grateful for the support from our partners at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, NASA's Center of Excellence for Collaborative Innovation, and NOAA National Centers for Environmental Information.

Honoring our past and forging our future. 🌎 After 74 years of dedicated service to the nation, NGA cased its colors last week at the historic St. Louis Arsenal, marking the end of a significant chapter as we complete our move to the new NGA St. Louis campus. The Arsenal has been a continuously active military installation for nearly 200 years, and since 1952, it has been a home to NGA and its predecessor organizations, supporting critical missions from the Cold War to present day. As we honor the profound legacy of service within these walls, we look forward to building on that foundation of excellence. Our mission continues, and our greatest accomplishments are still ahead.
