Every EHN Canada inpatient treatment centre, along with our virtual treatment programs, is now Accredited with Commendation by Accreditation Canada. For many of our clients and partners, this recognition may feel like a natural continuation of the care we’ve always provided. That’s by design. Accreditation with Commendation is awarded to organizations that not only meet national standards but consistently exceed them, demonstrating strong performance in safety, quality, and person-centred care. Across all of our facilities, this means: • Rigorous standards in client safety and risk management • Consistent application of evidence-based care practices • Continuous performance improvement across every level of the organization Most importantly, it reinforces what matters most to our clients and families: confidence in the care they receive, wherever they are in the EHN Canada network. This national accreditation reflects a unified commitment — one standard of excellence, delivered consistently across every location.
We are proud to share that EHN Canada has been recognized as one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2026 and listed in The Career Directory as one of Canada’s best employers for recent graduates.

-EHN Canada opening and operating the largest addiction treatment centre in Saskatchewan – EHN Willowview Recovery Centre. This 60-bed facility will be located at the former Living Skies Retreat and Conference Centre near Lumsden, SK. The facility will be fully funded by the Government of Saskatchewan and will provide comprehensive addiction treatment for up to 8-16 weeks.
A number of our locations have celebrated anniversaries (Bellwood Health Services, our site in Toronto, ON, celebrated 40 year anniversary; Edgewood Treatment Centre in Nanaimo, BC, celebrating 30 year anniversary in 2024!). We have had multiple successes in getting closer to our purpose of ensuring that every Canadian has the right to accessible, affordable, and excellent mental health and addiction treatment: -We launched 36 spots for Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Saskatchewan, fully funded by the Saskatchewan Health Authority. -EHN Canada has partnered with the Government of Alberta to open Red Deer Recovery Community – a government-funded, privately-run addiction treatment center in Red Deer, Alberta. The facility has 75 beds with treatment stays ranging from 6 to 12 months. The program includes detox, CBT (cognitive-behavioural therapy) and DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy), clinical counsellors, nurses and doctors, Indigenous liaisons and more. -Exciting transformations are unfolding at another facility (Sandstone Treatment Centre in Calgary, AB) as it embarks on a new chapter to become Alberta's pioneering residential eating disorder (ED) treatment center for youth (ages 12-24). The program is publicly funded by the Government of Alberta, and privately delivered by Sandstone. The province announced, "The new program will increase treatment capacity by 200 percent and support up to 72 additional youth and young adults every year."
Red Deer Recovery Community, a 75-bed facility operated by EHN Canada, has been operating at full capacity since its first resident was accepted on May 15. The facility offers holistic, medically supervised addiction treatment and specialized concurrent mental health programming. The $20-million facility, funded entirely by the Government of Alberta, provides long-term treatment, with residents progressing through various phases of therapy and education. According to Ben Borger, the clinic manager, the facility plays a crucial role in the continuum of care and has received high demand, changing many lives in the process.
