This year, we hosted our ninth annual golf tournament with our E2 team, customers, and sponsors. It was another incredible year working with The Ridge at Castle Pines as our tournament host, with the beautiful views of Pikes Peak and the mountains in the Western Skies. For the second year in a row, we partnered with Transportation and Construction GIRL to fundraise for their cause – providing young women opportunities for economic sustainability in our industry. As a woman-owned business, this cause has a special place in our hearts, and we are so happy to be able to continue to support this great organization and bring more women into our industry. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our amazing customers, sponsors, and employees for making the E2 Optics golf tournament a resounding success and a favorite event in the industry. #E2Optics #E2Partners #E2GolfTournament #TransportationandConstructionGirl #RidgeatCastlePines
For National Safety Month, we wanted to take a moment to talk about what safety means to us at E2 Optics. Safety is our number one core value, not a priority. We believe that while priorities can change, values always remain the same – and the safety of our employees and projects are a core value for our teams. Our dedication to safety shines through in our Safely Home program: the trainings, education, and tools that support our safety protocols and procedures. This program helps us accomplish our safety goals and achieve the invaluable reward of knowing every member of the E2 Family gets home safely after each workday. Today we are also celebrating the completion of the BICSI Technician certifications by Carlos S. and Joel G. in our Charlotte office. Here’s what they had to say about their experience receiving their certifications: "First and foremost, thank you to E2 and the team for giving us an opportunity to achieve this major milestone. Overall, it has been a rewarding feeling to accomplish this goal. These certifications have motivated me to go for more. To grow as an individual and pursue more career goals. Thank you once again." – Joel, Project Superintendent “Achieving this certification feels great. You feel more confident in yourself. The fact that E2 was willing to invest into me means a lot. It shows that they value their team members. The ability to achieve these goals pushes me to drive deeper into different roles. It also encourages me to look beyond my limits and become more successful at what I do. I am very thankful for that.” – Carlos, Field Supervisor Please join us in congratulating Carlos and Joel for all their hard work! We are proud to have you both as part of the E2 Family. #E2Optics #BICSI #BICSICertification #InstallerCourses #OpticalFiber #CopperTraining #TechnicianCertifications #E2Charlotte #E2Family
This week, our Columbus office celebrates bringing two of our apprentices, Colin and Damon, onto our team for full-time roles as Installers. They joined E2 Optics as apprentices from the MID-EAST CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY CENTERS in Zanesville, Ohio, where they were able to work in the field on-and-off weeks as they attended school as high school seniors. We are excited to bring Colin and Damon on full-time – they are hard workers and did an incredible job in the School-to-Apprenticeship program. We look forward to watching them grow and evolve in this industry and their careers! Fun Fact: Damon is the third generation of his family to work at E2 Optics. His dad, Pat, is a Project Superintendent in Columbus, and his grandfather worked with us as well. We’re happy to continue growing the E2 Family! #Apprenticeshipprogram #CareerOpportunity #MidEastCareerandTechnologyCenter #E2Optics #E2Family #Installers #lowvoltage
A few weeks ago, our Phoenix team made another donation of equipment to Let's Build Construction Camp for Girls, a national award-winning program designed for middle school and high school-age girls to attend a free week-long camp to explore architecture, engineering, construction, and building materials manufacturing (AECM) through hands-on experiences and field trips. Led by Regional Operations Support Manager Amy Layton and Safety Manager Paul Barrow, the team donated over 40 items of safety equipment, including an assortment of 17 hard hats, 11 gloves, a face shield mount, 8 face shield replacements, and more, including 2 first aid kits. These items come from our cache of retired safety equipment, as we give them a new home and purpose of providing and ensuring safety at the Let’s Build Construction Camp held at the Carpenters Local Union 1912 in Phoenix. As a woman-owned organization and proponent of women in construction and diverse industries, we are excited to do our part to make the AECM industry more accessible to women and girls. Thank you to Heather Unger and FM Solutions Management for letting us be a part of this program! The camp wrapped up last week, we hope that the girls had a great time with this great program. We hope you learned a lot about the industry and have grown to love it like we do. #E2Optics #SafetyFirst #wic #womeninconstruction #empoweringwomen #letsbuildconstructioncamp
