High above 4,100 feet in Highlands, N.C., a once-narrow, aging bridge on Dillard Road (SR 106) has been transformed into a modern, safer two-lane crossing. Delivered for NCDOT, this bridge replacement over Middle Creek enhances access to a popular mountain corridor and ensures critical cross-state emergency routes remain reliable. We’re proud to celebrate Engineers Week by investing in the next generation of innovators. Amanda Woods, PE, recently represented DRMP at Milwee Middle School’s Speaker Days, sharing insights with 7th and 8th grade students about careers in engineering and the real-world impact of our work.
For #EWeek, we’re spotlighting a project with a story to tell. Last August, we helped restore the historic amphitheater at Florida College along the Hillsborough River, preserving its legacy while reimagining it as a modern, fully accessible gathering space.
