Doulas are birthing professionals who provide those who are pregnant with physical and emotional support before, during and after giving birth. We are proud to share that Clovis Community Medical Center has been recognized by The Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center! A Primary Stroke Center treats most cases of stroke and provides access to a skilled team of neurosurgery experts within two hours of arrival. Clovis Community is one of six Primary Stroke Centers in the Central Valley, and one of just three in the Fresno area. “Achieving primary stroke center status at Clovis Community Medical Center will elevate stroke care to the next level, showcasing the dedication and teamwork of the entire staff,” said Dr. Mellekate Vishwas of Community Health Partners.

More exciting news around the halls of Community Regional Medical Center! Last month we celebrated the expansion of our inpatient neuroscience intensive care unit. With ten new beds, this unit will care for some of the most critical neuroscience patients in the region.
