"A true, impactful DEI initiative doesn't begin with the HR team. It starts with all employees." - Kristin Tarczynski, People Business Partner at Braze. As a customer engagement platform, human connection and empathy are at the heart of what we do. We recently rolled out a refreshed set of our core values—take your seat at the table, don’t ignore smoke, embrace curiosity, shape the future, seek the truth, and be a human—to drive social good within our company and encourage our customers and partners to do the same. We started #TechForBlackFounders with our partners to celebrate diversity, create equal opportunities for the Black Community, and put our values into action. Our Cofounder and CEO Bill Magnuson joins Jessica Bartlett, Omari Matthew, and Jazmine Noble to talk more with Josh Machiz on Nasdaq’s #MissionDriven.
We all remember our first job experiences, whether it be taking odd jobs around town or lifeguarding during the summer months. In the second part of the series, we chatted with members of the Braze team to discuss their first summer jobs and how their experiences and lessons learned then still serve them today.

Recapping Braze CEO and Cofounder Bill Magnuson on 2019 - As 2019 comes to a close, it's a great time to reflect on the momentous growth Braze has experienced over the past year thanks to all our employees, investors, customers, and partners. I'm certainly proud of this year's achievements — most notably our recent milestone in company growth by surpassing $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR). And our growth hasn't just stopped at revenue: customers (800+); our partners (Braze Alloys lists more than 100); our customer activity (nearly 30 billion messages sent in the two weeks of Black Friday/Cyber Monday); and our workforce, which is on track to near 500 by the end of January as our teams grow in London, New York, San Francisco, Singapore, and soon in Chicago. As we enter a brighter 2020, we're assured that the world is catching up to what we've believed all along: Strong connections are forged when brands deliver engaging and relevant experiences to consumers. Congrats and thank you to all — happy holidays!
