Making a difference in vulnerable communities, friendly coworkers and people who care about the mission of the organization
Activities for workers, great learning experience
Cons
No pay increases
limited use of PTO time
No overtime pay
Great colleagues, amazing mission, and you make a difference in people's lives.
Cons
Board members involve themselves too much in case manager's jobs and roles. This hinders a case manager's ability to provide equitable care to refugee and asylee clients. It gets to a point where some refugees are prioritized over others who don't have as many resources or community members to support.
They do amazing work, the people are great to work with and I have enjoyed my time so far. The culture is welcoming, flexible and fun. The clients are so inspiring and you get a lot out of it.
Cons
It is a non-profit so you do a lot with a little. Pay and benefits pretty low, but not out of the norm for not for profits.
