Pros

Culture Opportunity Growth Flexibility Truely unlimited income You will see some reviews saying that some people are given "favoritism" or handed deals. That is simply not true. Yes sometimes a recruiter may be fortunate to get into a successful industry or location but do you know what? YOU GET TO CHOOSE WHERE AND WHAT YOU DO! That is the best part about gpac. If something is not going well or if you are not doing well.... YOU can change that. I sit directly next to the number 1 biller in the company. NOTHING has been handed to him. He works extremely hard and reaps the rewards. And everyone has the same ability to succeed. I personally trippled my income my first year on the job. Yes this job is not always the easiest, yes management pushes you to make money. Isn't that the reason you took the job? You will see some reviews about favoritism or unkept promises and maybe some coaching issues. Even if they were true (which they are not) none of them affect how you do in recruiting. You do not need ANYONE but yourself to succeed if you follow the metrics and process that have worked for the Goods for over 30 years.

Cons

I do honestly think there should be a minimum time a recruiter has to be in the business before being promoted to a coach or leadership role. It was a struggle personally joining a team where the coach was clueless. But even with that being said, I started without guidance, without an amazing territory making 1200 a month. I worked my butt off anyways and live a very comfortable and rewarding lifestyle.

Work from home, but that’s about it.

Don’t get me wrong - the money can be good. But quite honestly, there is no amount of money in the world that would have made me stay with this company. I made it over a year, and I regret every second of it. The only thing that helped me stay were some of my teammates. It’s an organization built upon greed. How much money can you make me? That’s their mindset. My teammates changed almost weekly. They pitch this “amazing culture.” And it is everything BUT that. Terrible people as coaches, and even worse people in management. Training is a laughing stock. You’d have better luck following a Joe Biden speech than getting any helpful information through the “training”. Then, post training..good luck getting help from your coach. I always got the “I’m too busy, go ask a teammate.” Busy doing what? My coach didn’t run a desk. Anyone other than the actual recruiters (aka the people on the front line) just sit back and collect a pay check. Yea, the $35k deal you just made, 70% of that is going to people who literally do nothing all day but tell you to hurry up and make as many deals as possible. And, might I add that you might not even see a penny of some deals due to the draw you have to pay back. Again, going to people who do nothing. Ahh, and I can’t forget the fact that YOU have to pay for your own tools every month. Which, is insane. If you can’t see that this is all about how much money THEY can get in their pockets..then you might be Stevie Wonder. Good luck getting the companies to pay up at a reasonable time..what’s that you ask? Do they have an accounting team that handles the billing and collecting payment? No. No they don’t. That falls on the recruiter. Be prepared to work OT and not get paid a penny more for it. And if you don’t work OT, you’ll be told you’ll fail. But at least you can have the dignity of knowing you’re helping people right? Wrong. You post fake jobs to lure in candidates. You market fake candidates to lure in companies. When either of those parties ask about said candidate, or said company - you then lie some more and tell them they aren’t available, or the position at the company was filled. My take, if you truly cared about “growing people and companies”..you wouldn’t try to squeeze every single penny out of them, or lie to them over the phone. Don’t waste your time. Go look at all the reviews..look at the dates of the positive reviews. They come in waves due to management posting them. Then take a look at the negative ones..notice how many people click on the “helpful” button at the bottom of the reviews. Tons. Because those are the real, raw reviews of the company.
