Pros

There are still a few good people in NZ to work with after the restructure but this company is not a long term prospect.

Cons

Nothing about this company is what is seems. Go further than the glossy publications and website. Look for real customers and case studies that demonstrate success. You will find almost none. All the positive reviews on here come from the company's marketing. Every negative HR principle you can apply to management, is demonstrated on a daily basis at Wynyard. This includes nepotism, cronyism, favouritism, and extensive bullying. Most is centrally located to a few key people but it is far reaching. There is a core of people who emerged, over promoted in previous companies, when Wynyard combined in two companies to invent itself into a third. These people are in high consequence leadership positions, performing no leadership or support at all. No strategic direction. No consultation. No collaboration. All 'head in the sand' about the problems with the software and the high costs of implementing it even though they are marketed as COTS. If you are interested in a role in a technical or implementation team - don't do it. You will be expected to work nights, weekends, public holidays, like I do. The favouritism means only certain people get recognised for their work, usually those in the Middle East not New Zealand. As far as innovation, the only development ideas fostered and given credit are those that come directly from a few key people. People who were there from the start, not necessarily those with the best new ideas. Preference is given to those who don't rock the boat. Innovation does not flourish when ego dominates design and good ideas embarrass the people who didn't think of them! The cyber direction is another chaotic, knee-jerk strategy to find something easier to sell but with the same issues. It is a high risk endeavour and again, do your homework. Where has it really sold? How is it performing? Where are happy customers? Look beyond the hype.

Pros

Wynyard is used by so few organisations that it won't take long for them to replace the Wynyard software with something user friendly that has all the features they need. The talented employees you made redundant around the world found new jobs despite working at Wynyard.

Cons

I need to remove this brown stain from my LinkedIn profile. I would rather have this time period shown as being incarcerated rather than being associated professionally for working at Wynyard. I was warned about this company and feel very stupid for joining. If you see anything above a 2 star rating for this company make sure you read between the lines. If you are thinking about investing do some serious homework and question everything you see, read and hear. Question without reservation any gaps you see and any forward looking statements. If you hear of a sale question how big and all the conditions do not take anything on face value. Cyber really? Hope you are not betting the ranch on that one.... whatever happened to your digital forensics solution?
