Great coworkers, but management and culture have declined
Pros
the coworkers are amazing and the pay is excellent.
Cons
Management has significantly declined in its ability to support employees since the restructuring of client services and employee management roles. There appears to be a strong emphasis on profits over people, with little regard for employee well-being or work-life balance. Employees are frequently expected to work overtime without appropriate compensation, and the requirement to provide two weeks’ notice for overtime is unrealistic and impractical. This creates an environment that feels both unfair and unsustainable. There is also a noticeable lack of experienced leadership. Many managers do not seem to have a strong understanding of the roles they oversee, which contributes to ongoing operational challenges. Additionally, the organization places heavy reliance on technology systems that are not functioning effectively, further impacting performance and service delivery. The workplace culture has become increasingly negative and, at times, toxic. Rather than empowering and supporting employees, the environment often feels discouraging and overly critical. Roles that should focus on supporting employees and clients have shifted toward administrative tasks tied to underperforming systems. Ultimately, this experience led me to leave the organization, as it no longer aligned with a healthy or supportive work environment.
