Bullying culture, incredibly negative work environment. Upper management aware, but complacent.

The job role was varied and challenging. There was good opportunity for training. The work itself was engaging and interesting. Other offices were always polite and helpful.
Cons
The sector I worked involved a close knit office environment. The team supervisor promoted a culture of humiliation and bullying, which was very visible to upper management and was ignored. There was a high turnover of staff and it was quite apparent that this was the reason why. Staff that did not partake in this culture were often the subject of these attacks. The atmosphere was drastically different when the team senior was not in the office. This senior would frequently set traps to catch people out and she could often be seen promoting a divide between the office and workshop staff, whilst blaming the divide on the workshop employees. Upper management were often witness to this and handles it with an attitude of complacency. There was little room for movement within the company without a relocation deal, which isn't always convenient or possible. This may not be true of all sectors of the business. As far as I was aware, this particular office held a reputation for having a high turnover and the senior in question was known as a difficult person.
