There are many biotechs out there, all with incredibly brilliant team members, but where Variant Bio shines is that everyone is motived by the mission of the company. The mission to change how drug development is done, to make it more inclusive, fair, and equitable has brought together an amazing group of people, who are passionate about more than just developing the next drug.
Cons
The company is growing rapidly, which is not a bad thing, but it's always a balance to make sure that growth can happen while maintaining the culture and keeping productivity high. There are day to day growing pains that are normal for any company going through the transition from a small startup to a well-funded company.
