Pros

Fun Kids Flexible scheduling Nothing Else Nothing

Cons

Used to be a good company but they changed in the last couple of years. REASON 1: Has stopped paying on time. It used to be every week Thursday, then they started doing it on Friday, then Saturday, and now Monday randomly. Now given, they don't tell anyone what they're doing, announcements, anything beforehand, they just pick and choose when to pay. They ignore emails about your payments and then have the nerve to later send mass emails about the importance of being on time and classroom behavior etc. They could essentially hold your money hostage at some point and decide not to pay and run off, or decide to randomly pay 2 weeks later. And the ridiculous thing is, they expect you to follow the guidelines/contract you agreed upon and signed when they don't even hold their end. REASON 2:Lack of classes. Used to be good where you could essentially pick classes casually. Now they overhired, won't admit it , and within seconds the new jobs listed on the board postings are gone within 10 mins. Demoralizing and stressful to chase after classes for those that might solely depend on this job for income. They have also massively lowered pay from what it used to me. REASON 3:Lack of communication/transparency. Admins do not allow free speech in their Facebook group if you have concerns or want to address something about the company. They just remove the post and want you to send emails. Which they also ignore. Used to have a texting service too, but ignores it, phone line picks up but they just redirect you to emails about payment issues...again, that they ignore. I looked at one of their old FB posts that was saying "This should be about the kids and if you're in it for the money you should just go" And some less-than-wise people in the comments agree with them and thanked their "Dear Leader." Well I have to live in a capitalist real world and don't work for free, shady companies, and contract breakers. I really needed that for that money to use around mothers day this week and they completely let me down and didn't pay me, or say when I am going to get paid. This just recently started happening to me so I wasn't aware until I heard from past tutors that had to back away from them for their unreliability even as a side gig. I myself was willing to put up with past grievances with the company if they paid on time. and if it was a slipup once a blue moon and with proper communication. But if I can't even depend on that, I will just focus more on my other job and trade the hours.
