Pros

There are no pros. You will be living in hell.

Cons

Don't join Software Development team!. - No work life balance, you will be asked to work on weekends, put extra hours daily, and stilll after all this you won't get appreciation, rather if any small bug is there you will be held responsible, - You will be working on old technologies which are not used anywhere java 1.7, knockout JS, EJB etc. Literally nobody in industry uses these technologies, your experience will be wasted, also nobody has understanding of codebase, you will be asked to check any issue of which you don't even know the requirements, and you will be expected to fix it with minimum time, - If there is production issue you won't get extra time for fixing it. Whatever other task you are working on needs to be completed on time and production issue needs to be fixed on priority on same day. - There is literally micro-management going on, you will be asked to prove that you worked complete 8.30 hours, - If you are assigned any task or bugs, the estimate will be given by Manager or your team lead, and if you do not complete task in that time you will be yelled at. - There's daily 2-3 hours of torcher meetings of which time will not be considered in your tasks, so you will be expected work extra hours for it. - Employees are being abused and threatened by manager, he literally says go and complaint to whoever you want. - There is not proper process for development, development, testing, requirements gathering everything is expected from development team even though there is BA team, UAT testing team, if any small bug report comes Developer will be held responsible for it and will be abused. - You will never get complete requirements, when new development is planned, you will be asked to assume requirements, based on assumptions you will be asked to provide estimate, once development starts business team will come and keep changing requirements until its gone to production or rather even after production release and with all this changes you are still expected to complete all development based on initial estimate which you gave on your assumption and no requirements. If you want to have personal life don't join here, otherwise you will have worst life and will be treated worse than slaves.
