Pros

It's a growing company, but with very stable leadership and team. It's been around since 2003 and a lot of people have pretty long tenures. Long term prospects are good. Problems are solved really quickly. Since the company is still in a growth phase, it can move quickly like a startup (but is stable, unlike a startup). Compared to my previous jobs in bigger corporations, issues are addressed really quickly. Fully remote! I can't say enough how important this is, especially with what happened with Covid. Even if Covid didn't happen, this is such a huge plus for me. I used to commute almost 2.5 hours every day! Management that understands. Not to be too cliché, but life happens and I can't tell you how nice it is to have managers that work with you when things happen. The PTO policy really helps too. Easy communication. I'm comfortable Slacking the C-level execs my questions and it's really easy to reach out to whoever you need to. This might change as the company gets bigger, but it's pretty easy to chat with anyone at this stage. You get what you need to do your job. If you need a specific piece of software and can justify it, you can typically get access to it or approved to use it. Since the company is still small, you can really impact the things you do on a daily basis. You could even build out a new process if it works. Existing processes are also fair game when it comes to adjustment and change. Exciting client base!

Cons

Some things are not as streamlined as they could be due to the growth. This also means that change can happen quickly. This can be a positive too, depending on your expectations and personality. You can set your availability for meetings, but since your clients are also international, you might need to do some late night or early morning meetings once in a while.

Pros

The title says it all. Compensation, Healthcare, great PTO, and people who are kind, even the leadership. I have opportunities for growth and advancement and am a part of improving processes.

Cons

The same cons that any all-remote team will encounter.

Pros

As a female with children in the tech world, I have seen the industry's ugly side, and TextExpander does not abide or tolerate that type of culture. The company has a firm understanding of work/life balance and puts a lot of value on making sure their employees live their best lives. They have emphasized a heavy focus on hiring the best person for the job and providing an environment that is kind, caring, empathetic, and inclusive. As a fully remote team, they have curated the ability for individuals to work in the time zone they live in, the hours they need, and understand that life is not as boxed in as 9-5. I would gladly rejoin the team if the correct position became available.

Cons

As a remote team, people tend to end up in their inner bubble, leading to a lack of group discussion and involvement. It is my understanding they are working on that, though.
