Pros

If you've narcissistic traits and/or sociopathic behavioral qualities, you'll thrive in this workplace

Cons

C Suite thinks money buys everything: employees integrity and their silence C Suite is made up of a cabal that have their own personal agendas, makes up fake stories and opinions and misguides CEO CEO does not interacts with anyone besides people with C and V titles and relies heavily on these managers to make decisions If you're a narcissist, your opinion will count and you'll be considered for managerial roles. Else, nice try!

Pros

- Lower-level staff and management are by far some of the best people I've worked with. There are some hidden gems of creativity and talent in the lower rungs of the company hierarchy. - If you have any kind of post-secondary education/accreditation, you'll probably be offered a job if you apply for the support analyst position. - Good place to accrue marketable experience in technology (TSQL, SSRS, software troubleshooting and testing) - Senior devs seem to be treated alright, people who transfer from being a support rep to junior dev seem to be underpaid. Apply directly for a dev job if you're interested, they seem to handle departmental changes in a miserly fashion. - If you're desperate for technical exposure and don't mind taking a year or two to just get experience without the realistic prospect of a lucrative career at the company, this may be worth consideration.

Cons

- Upper management seems to exert an enormous amount of pressure on lower/middle management to institute passive-aggressive policies. Removal of certain benefits like working from home were taken away completely without any real notice. Upper management scrutinizes how you spend your breaks, and will not hesitate to tell you not to do certain activities that other departments get to do without scrutiny. - Implementation department seems to be the most hated department out of the whole company. Apply to other departments, and don't let them 'Voluntell' you to go over either. This is also the only department to not have the company's peer-reward/recognition system after it has been in support and dev for months... - Upper management enjoys bragging about catering cheap off-brand sweets regularly, but they'll bring in catering from Kowalski's when clients are involved. - Poor starting salary, and upper management is not kindly to pay bumps above 5% - A lot of reviews refer to 'growing pains', but this is just a way of chalking all the bad decisions up to expansion. The negativity in the company seems to be less about the need for better scalability in processes and more due to the stinginess and pathology of upper management. - Some positions have WAY too much responsibility for the pay. Position responsibilities and pay need to be reviewed, it is a mess at least for the Implementation department.

Pros

-Free snacks -Great place to learn SQL -Fairly good training -Daily coworkers are friendly and helpful

Cons

-This isn't a company, it's a high school. If you are liked by one member of Upper management, you're set! However, if this one person decides they don't like you, your career with the company is over. They will find excuses to reprimand and fire you. This opinion can change on a dime and due to no fault of your own. -NO JOB SECURITY. You can be a great worker, do everything in your job description, be liked by all your coworkers, and you can still be fired at the drop of a hat. Again, it all relies on that one member of Upper management. Every little mistake I made had me fearful that I would be gone the next day. Everyone is ready to be fired at any time. It's impossible to be productive when you know that your performance, in the end, sometimes doesn't matter. -Micromanaging! They criticize every little thing you do. Did you spend too long on one issue? Get written up. Were you a bit short with someone over the phone? Written up. Which, for all you know, could be an excuse to fire you. They don't seem to understand that their employees are human being and not infallible robots. -Upper management does not care about the employees or their ideas. They, of course, say their doors are always open and that you can share your opinions at any time! However, not only do they not take anything you say to heart, doing this will put you in their radar. You have to keep your head down, work, and pray upper management doesn't notice you so you can get by. -Upper management has no concern for employee safety. They handled the covid-19 situation terribly. While I understand that this was new for everyone, they were happy keeping offices open at the risk of employee health. -No room for advancement. You can get maybe one or two promotions before it's the end of the line. -Raises above 5% are discouraged to such a point that employees will fear for their jobs if they ask. -Unnecessary punishment. Employees can often receive no warnings about their performance and they will suddenly see their job position slipping away. -HR is controlled by Upper management. Going to HR means they will tell Upper management and you can get fired. -Little to no accommodations for those struggling with health issues. -It's a very straight white environment, with almost no POC in Upper management positions. They don't seem to actually care about diversity.
