Pros

- Decent pay ($13/hr) - You can be on your phone or other websites - You can kind of do your own thing without people breathing down your neck

Cons

I worked at Taylar over the summer of 2017. I have worked in fundraising for my college for the past 3 years and I am supervisor at my call center, so I thought this would be a great fit and give me an opportunity to expand my resume. I know a lot about fundraising, so I did not need too much training in selling. After the training, I was assigned a campaign and I started calling people who live in Hartford, CT. A lot of the other reviews here talk about how the commission works, so I won't spend time on that except to say that it is really weird. It's difficult to make commission and there are a lot of factors that go into it. Just because you met or exceeded your goal, you won't get it if your credit card rate isn't up to par. So it's weird. The office is really quiet. I sat there for 5 hours bored out of my mind. No one talks to each other. I would try to make conversation with the people around me, but they never responded. There was a mouse in the office one time and that was the most anyone talked ever... so yeah. Pretty dull. I ended up staying there for only a couple months. I had some family issues come up, so I needed to leave. They were relatively understanding, so I can appreciate that. At the end the summer I emailed someone to ask for my stats - like how much money I had raised - so I could put it on my resume. No one replied for like a month until I sent I somewhat heated email stating that I knew at least 3 people see the emails. Someone replied saying they couldn't give that information out. Whatever. Also, I am not sure how they can call themselves PCI compliant. I know what it means for a company to be PCI compliant (because of my other fundraising job), but they are not and I will probably report them because they are doing some shady illegal stuff. Overall, just don't work here. It is not worth it.

Pros

Very few, flexible schedule ...usually.

Cons

Not enough room to mention everything. Hostile environment, volatile management, absentee owner and basically every kind of micro managing you can imagine. This company makes no attempt to hold on to good sales people or management and allows hot headed campaign managers to fire at will.
