Pros

-Located in a beautiful area -Animals are treated well

Cons

-Farm hands and garden assistants are treated with extreme disrespect the owners. -No opportunities to learn from actual farmers. -Unpaid work outside of regular working hours is regularly expected. -Pay is no where close to a liveable wage in this area. -There is a great degree of hypocrisy in the states company values and how they actually treat their employees. -The owner is a micromanager, sending messages constantly throughout the day, often to the detriment of the work needing to be done, the workers, animals and employee well being. -Had lunch breaks cut short to be yelled at for a variety of minor things, often things that I had been explicitly told to do.

Pros

On the surface, this farm is idyllic. Their company vision statement and beautiful land and animals are what brought me here. Unfortunately, the beautiful land and animals is not worth working for truly evil people.

Cons

This farm and it's parent company, "The Ground", will chew you up and spit you out. The hypocrisy of their company vision statement and how they treat their employees is astounding. You will be yelled at, lied to, disrespected and exploited. This company does not care about you, it only cares about the farm aesthetic and public image that bring in ultra-wealthy tourists. The owners have no background in agriculture and will repeatedly tell you to "figure it out" or "Google it". They hire social media influencers to create the perfect image while their farm hands aren't even paid enough to buy the meat and vegetables produced by the farm, much less afford to live even remotely close. Farm hands were kicked out of employee housing to make room for a 6-figure CEO/COO with no discussion or warning beforehand. Wednesday company lunches are a chance for the owners to stroke their own egos and talk about what great things they are doing while turning a blind eye to their own employees well-being.
