Flexible scheduling but semi challenging working conditions

Cons

Being in the water all the time drys out your skin. Instructors call out often. Hard to take bathroom breaks

People-wise, a very fun place to work. Definitely attracts the kind of nice, positive people you want to be around.

Cons

Little to no direction from management the vast majority of the time; very much a "sink or swim" kind of job. High staff turnover since most were high school students. Office staff were often hired to work part-time but ended up working far more than they agreed to; coaches tended to have the opposite problem, being promised so many hours but scheduled (and paid) for less.
