The work is meaningful and can have real impact and there are some collaborative colleagues who care about doing a good job. Remote work is always a plus.
Cons
Leadership is reactive, inconsistent and resistant to feedback. Managerial communication is vague, controlling or dismissive. Favoritism influences decisions more than merit or performance. Poor internal accountability. Talented staff are underutilized or driven out while incompetent managers stay in place or are promoted into roles that they have not earned.
